For one of our clients, an international bank located in Esch-Belval, SOFITEX TALENT is currently looking for a

ACCOUNTING - FUND TAX SPECIALIST (M/F)

Your tasks:

To lead the classification of clients, collection of core tax documentation and production and filing of global tax relief forms to ensure the timely, accurate and efficient relief of withholding taxes on global assets.

To act as SME within the Tax Operations team and to represent Tax Operations as SME across the business, within the market and with clients.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

To lead and assist in the processing of all new accounts to ensure that all target production periods are met and acceptable levels of accuracy maintained

To review and control the collection of all core tax documentation to enable full tax service offering.

To lead and assist in the processing of all withholding tax reclaims ensuring that all target production periods are met and acceptable levels of accuracy maintained.

To lead and assist in the payment of received tax refunds within set timeframes.

To lead and assist in the reconciliation process between sub-custodian, client reporting platforms and internal reclaim system records.

To lead and assist in the implementation of procedural changes in accordance with new regulations, revenue procedures and Tax Advisory communications.

To be proactive and encourage the harmonization of the Tax Advisory, Tax Reporting, Tax Documentation and Tax Reclaim areas into a single efficient unit.

To ensure that a client focused service approach is adopted at all times in completing work to the highest standards of accuracy.

To be responsible for the delivery of any exceptional processing projects in a timely manner.

To support the Global Tax Services Management team in all initiatives to achieve standards of excellence in the tax relief service to clients.

To act as a SME of Tax Operations with an ability to deliver status updates at multiple levels.

To represent Tax Operations as SME across the business, within the market and with clients.

To lead on a daily basis US tax reconciliation and classification of clients, collection of core tax documentation and production and filing of US/Fatca/CRS forms to ensure the timely, accurate and efficient withholding taxes on global assets.

Required profile

2-4 years' experience in Tax Operations or equivalent experience in Income collection, Entitlements, Securities lending or Transaction Management

Very good computer skills

In-depth knowledge of US QI processes regulatory requirements

In-depth knowledge of FATCA and CRS

This is a 8-month contract to start in January.
