For one of our clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg Kirchberg, Sofitex Talent is currently looking for a
Financial Operations - Operational Assistant (M/F)
The Operational assistant will coordinate and provide office support and secretarial assistance in order to contribute to the effective day-to-day operation of the unit and will work in close cooperation with other members of the Division.
The current scope of projects includes technical assistance, grants and financial instruments operations under mandates coordinated by the unit. The Operational Assistant will be required to work on several tasks simultaneously.
Responsibitlities
• Provide comprehensive operational support to financial services team
• Assist in the monitoring, following-up and reporting on operations supported under Trust Funds and financing partnerships, using the specific applications of the company
• Assist in the production and dispatch of reports, compile information, according to needs and deadlines
• Assist in processing bookings and disbursement requests across mandates in the Unit’s portfolio
• Contribute to the drafting of letters and briefing notes, follow up on signatures, ensuring timely reminders and smooth exchanges with counterparts
• Pro-actively contribute to the maintenance/update and quality control of databases. This includes timely and accurate document filing, data collection, and system updates.
• Assist in collecting the documentation for audits and controls
• Support the team in updating procedures
Profil recherché
• At least secondary level education, complemented with a 2-year higher certification in a relevant field (economics, accounting, finance, legal, business administration) or with equally qualified experience in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience of which 2 years at an operational support level
• Knowledge and/or exposure to development organisations would be an asset
• Very good knowledge of the Bank's standard computer tools, particularly MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Previous experience with databases would be an asset
• Knowledge of Business Objects and EIB IT systems (Serapis, GED, ASApp) would be an advantage
• Very good organisational skills and good drafting skills
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Working knowledge of French would be an advantage.
This is an opportunity for a long-term temporary contract (initial contract of 2-months + several extensions) to start asap.
Salary: level 1 or 2, depending on years of experience (either 3850€ or 4350€ gross/month)
